Orangutans and Wildlife Tour
Our Borneo trips to see the Orangutans are appropriate for any time of year, however, March to October tend to be better as the chance of rain is slightly less than other times of the year. As these tours can be booked up months in advance, to avoid disappointment we advise you to book your Borneo trip very early!

Days 1 - 3
Kuala LumpurHotel: 4* Traders Hotel, Kuala lumpur Bed & Breakfast
Depart London Heathrow on your direct flight to Kuala Lumpur. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel for 3 nights.
Enjoy 3 nights in Kuala Lumpur, either taking in the city at your own pace or book some optional day tours to the Batu Caves – a series of Hindu cave temples, the famous Petronas Towers, or the historical city of Malacca.

Days 4 - 5
Sandakan and LubukHotel: 3* Sepilok Nature Resort, Sandakan Half Board
After a short internal flight, you will be met upon arrival at Sandakan airport. Your first day will start off with a guided tour to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orangutans at 10am. Return to resort for lunch.
After lunch, spend an afternoon free at your leisure. In the evening, an hour guided Night Jungle Walk tour into the Sepilok Forest Trails will take place to experience spotting the animals and insects which only come out in the dark.
Proceed overland to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for the 11:00am feeding, returning back toSepilok Nature Resort for lunch around 13:00pm. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Days 6 - 10
LankayanHotel: 4* Lankayan Island Dive Resort, Borneo Bed & Breakfast, Diving included
After breakfast at your hotel you will be picked up and taken to the Jetty in Sandakan for the 1.5 hour boat trip to the beautiful your next destination.
Here you will stay 5 nights and experience everything the island has got to offer. Lankayan has been declared part of a Marine Protected Area to adopt the eco-tourism concept. Unpopulated and covered by thick tropical island vegetation, this peaceful, untouched little bit of paradise is ringed by an endless pure white sandy beach, offering simply elegant and exquisite accommodation in all 23 wooden, roomy and perfectly appointed seafront chalets.
Lankayan Island is also becoming one of the hottest diving destinations on the map today: its dive sites - all just a few minutes away - boasting unbelievably colorful macro, fauna, fascinating wrecks and in season from March to May, regular sightings of gigantic and harmless whale sharks, the "dream date" of every diver in the world. Situated within the Sea Turtle Corridor, Lankayan Island is also a nesting place and foraging ground for sea turtles; most commonly Green and Hawksbill Turtle. Therefore, guests will have a chance to see turtles nesting as well as new hatchlings of baby turtles released to the sea especially in season from June to September. -
Days 11 - 12
Sukau Wildlife Safari with Oxbow Lake & Gomantog CavesHotel: 3* Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge, Sandakan Half Board
After breakfast at the Lankayan Resort, you will board the boat back to the Sandakan Jetty where you will be met around 11:45am to take an relaxing boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary.
Your lunch will be served at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest.
After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates, especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.
Late afternoon, there will be time for another chance to go river cruising in search of more wildlife.
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, cruise up the river to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah.Return to lodge for breakfast, then spend the rest of the morning relaxing at the resort at your own leisure. After lunch, we will go to the Gomantong Caves to explore one of the most fascinating caves in Sabah. The caves are home to both Bats and Swiftlets. At these caves, the nest’s of the swiftlets are collected for the famous Chinese delicacy - bird’s nest soup. -
Days 13 - 19
TawauHotel: 4* Sipadan Water Village, Borneo Full Board with Diving Included
In the morning you will travel back to Sandakan for a short internal flight to Tawau for your stay.
