    Soma Bay, situated along Egypt's picturesque Red Sea coast, is just 30 minutes South of Hurghada Airport. It is a perfect diving holiday destination for those seeking more ‘upscale’ accommodation, easy diving, and a great house reef for snorkelling.

    Under the water in Soma Bay, there is a vibrant world teeming with life. The coral reefs are home to many marine species, including reef sharks, sea turtles, and countless tropical fish. Dive sites like Panorama Reef and Abu Kafan attract divers from around the globe with their dramatic walls, vibrant coral gardens, and unique underwater landscapes. For those interested in wreck diving, the nearby Salem Express offers a hauntingly beautiful experience.

    One of Soma Bay’s highlights is the exceptional visibility underwater, often exceeding 30 meters. The water temperature is inviting year-round, ranging from 22°C in the winter to 28°C in the summer. This makes it an ideal destination for divers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned adventurers. Many luxury resorts in the area house professional dive centers, offering everything from introductory courses to advanced certifications and guided excursions to the best dive sites.

    Beyond diving, Soma Bay provides opportunities for snorkelling, where shallow reefs near the shore allow even non-divers to explore the vibrant marine life.

    Soma Bay is also a famous area for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and wing foiling for those who want some ‘on water’ adventure as well. There are several beachfront restaurants on the Northern side of the bay, close to the scuba diving centre.
