October is a great time of year to grab a last-minute week away at a reasonable price. It's still warm in many Med destinations, the prices are low and the resorts are less crowded. Top spots include a diving holiday to Gozo in Malta and Sardinia.
October is also a perfect time to see the Whale Sharks in Oman - it's not that well known but it is one of the best to see whaleshark in a natural setting.
The temperatures in the Red Sea have started to drop a bit now to a more bearable range, so Autumn is one of the best times to visit Egypt, especially for trips and tours combined with world-class diving.
