Overview of Whirlwind
Whirlwind, launched in 2006, joined her sister vessels in the Tornado Marine Fleet. At 36 metres and she is one of the grand vessels of the fleet. The fleet's hallmark service also means you're assured of a warm welcome onboard. One glance at Whirlwind and her impressive design and use of space proves that yet again Tornado Marine Fleet are the pioneers in building boats within the Red Sea.
Accommodation aboard Whirlwind
Whirlwind has ten cabins accommodating twenty divers. Four cabins on the upper deck and six on the lower deck. Each have en-suite facilities, wardrobe and bedside cupboard and shelves. A safety deposit boxes, air conditioning with individual controls. There is also music from the saloon area can be piped into each cabin and this is controlled from the bedside.
The well designed diving area aboard Whirlwind is situated on the main deck. The upper saloon and bar offers plenty of seating to relax on the evening. The stereo, CD, DVD and plasma screen with surround sound are perfect for watching movies or viewing the day's dive action. The main sun deck has wicker furniture which suits Whirlwind's teak deck. In front of the bridge is a small, oval sun area which is perfect for enjoying the sun and viewing the surrounding Red Sea. The upper sun deck provides shaded and sunbathing areas. There is plenty of comfortable seating and a hot tub.
Drink & Dine
Dinner is served at two large dining tables. On the sun deck you will find the bar area.
All meals are included on board. The breakfast is usually eggs cooked to your preference, cereals , fresh fruits, or bakery. Then lunch and evening meals usually consist of chicken, beef or fish with vegetable and rice dishes with a choice of salads. Snacks are available between dives. Water, soft drinks, tea and coffee are complimentary.
If you have a favorite snack feel free to bring it with you as availability may be limited locally. For any special dietary requests, such as vegetarian meals, please inform us at time of booking and mention it to the crew on boarding Whirlwind.
Beer, wine and spirits, along with carbonated mixers, are charged for onboard. Your dive guides will not allow you to dive after consuming alcohol or while still under its influence as alcohol impairs judgment and increases your risk of decompression sickness.

Diving Facilities
The dive deck has individual stations for each diver and the large platform gives convenient access to the twin inflatable or the water.
Compressors 2 x K14 compressors - 320 liter minimum. Nitrox is pumped on board with a membrane system (450 ltrs / min).PADI courses including PADI Specialties are available at extra cost.
