General Impression

Located on a really picturesque area in the Inhambane region, this lodge offers a spectacular view of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. The casitas, built from local material, are basic but comfortable and well equipped. Barra Lodge offers fun and activities for the whole family.

You can reach the lodge by road from Maputo (6 – 8 hours) or by plane from Johannesburg.

Accommodation

You will be able to choose among a variety of accommodation options: 16 twin bedded casitas, 4 family casitas, 20 self catering lodges and 2 comfortable bunk houses.

Each casitas is equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and beach views. The houses and cottages are suitable for groups and families.

Diving

The undiscovered reefs ensure excellent scuba diving opportunities. The lodge has a fully equipped PADI dive centre with all the necessary facilities including kitting-up rooms, filling station, rest areas, kit storage, lecture and first-aid areas.
