    The Bunaken Island Eco-Resort (BIR), is fringed with the spectacular powder-white Liang Beach (the only long sandy beach) protected by a stunning clear lagoon, shelterin­g one of the world's richest and best diving coral reef, being only a few fin-kicks into the sea.

     

    Being a smaller-sized and to the detail arranged resort, the BIR is more then other resorts, able to offer you a very special and to your individual needs tailor-made exclusive diving, snorkeling and sun/beach vacation. So you definitely want to come back, over and over again.

    Accommodation At Bunaken Island Resort

    Room Facilities
    Each of the resort's spacious dorms feature a private wooden veranda with a built-in hammock, on which you will enjoy gentle tropical breezes and glorious equatorial views. With steps leading down from your lodge, the house reef is just a few fin-kicks away.
    Also each condo is equipped with air-conditioning, a cooling fan, grande gorgeous four-posted beds which are draped with a mosquito-net, a fitted wardrobe, a massive veranda and a Balinese-style en suite bathroom with cold & hot open-air showering, facing a stunning coral rock formation.
     All rooms are equipped with drinking water, clean towels and room cleaning services are daily provided.
     
    All lodges are built in the famous Indonesian Minahasa Style and feature a generous offer of space. The Bungalows are providing a comfortable size of 60m²; the villas even a lush of 150m². Smoking is not allowed at all lodges.
    A wireless internet network allows you to be connected to the rest of the world and is available from each condo.  
    Additionally, a selection of DVD movies can be offered for an individual evening entertainment. 
     
    Ocean View Villa
    The Ocean Villas are built in the famous Indonesian Minahasa Style featuring a lush 150m²; located on top of the hill; overlooking the entire resort, with a stunning view over the ocean and the nearby Manado Tua Island.
    To watch the rising sun in the morning or to enjoy a sun-downer in the evening, it certainly allows a breathtaking view over the ocean and the close shore coral-reef.
     
    Ocean View Bungalow
    The Bungalows are built in the famous Indonesian Minahasa Style, featuring a lush 60m². The bungalows are located towards the beachfront and give access to Liang Beach which invites you to lounge chairs and sun-umbrellas.  
    To watch the rising-sun in the morning and to enjoy a sun-downer in the evening, it certainly allows a breathtaking view over the ocean, the close shore coral-reef and the nearby sleeping Manado Tua Island.
    After a full day's experience on Bunaken Island you might want to relax in your hammock on your balcony that will leave you with impressions and pictures you will hardly forget.

    Drink & Dine

    The open-air Eco-restaurant offer the traditional local cuisine blended with a modern style of western cooking with ingredients from ecological farming.
    An additional highlight of our new eco-restaurant is the highly exquisite wine card. The Resort offer for our wine lovers a small, but truly fine wine selection, which Frank Feyns, the dutch owner of the Bunaken Island Resort and himself a wine expert, has selected for our wine enjoying guests.
    You will have the enjoyment of sitting on the open-air restaurant terrace, with a fantastic view of the lagoon of Liang Beach, while enjoying a glas of good wine or sipping on a refreshing cocktail and reflecting the impressions of the day; all under the beautiful starry sky.
     
    Breakfast
    We typically offer a simple pre-dive breakfast of fresh fruit, fruit juice, cornflakes, toast, jam, cheese, milk, coffee and tea, as well as free range eggs and pancakes.
     
    Lunch
    For lunch a typical menu does include classic Indonesian steamed rice, vegetables, seared tuna/snapper, a fresh salad with cucumber, tomato, pineapple. This is of course accompanied by a traditional and fiery Indonesian chili sauce.
     
    Dinner
    A variety of dishes are on offer for the evening meal. A typical first course features laksa, a scrumptious Malaysian coconut curry with rice vermicelli noodles and kaffir lime leaves. This may be followed by chicken satay accompanied by spicy Indonesian peanut dipping sauce, grilled barracuda fish and tempeh fried with corn and potato.
