But there's another face to New Providence, colonial architecture and quiet sandy beaches. To truly escape fly to one of the Bahamas' Out Islands. Columbus' first landfall in the Caribbean was on the white sand beaches of the tiny island of San Salvador. A holiday here is about relaxation and quiet contemplation.
