Hilton Mauritius Resort And Spa, in detail

Hilton Mauritius Resort And Spa

The fully renovated Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa sits directly on the beach at Wolmar, Flic en Flac, on the sunny west coast of the island — one of Mauritius's most sought-after stretches of sand. This is the calm, sheltered side of the island, where a warm turquoise lagoon lies protected by the reef, the water stays gentle and swimmable, and the days end with the kind of long, golden sunsets the west coast is famous for, looking out toward the dramatic silhouette of Le Morne mountain. It is a relaxed, easy-going setting with the polish and reliability of the Hilton name behind it.
Freshly and fully renovated, the resort feels bright and contemporary throughout, with warm, elegant interiors and beautifully refreshed grounds, pools and beachfront — a modern, top-to-toe update of a much-loved property that has been welcoming guests to this beach for over two decades.
The resort offers 193 elegantly renovated rooms and suites, spread across three categories and set among tropical gardens and pools that run down to the sea. Interiors are warm and refined, and rooms come with a choice of garden, pool or ocean views. For families and groups, connecting rooms are available throughout.
  • The Deluxe Rooms (74 in total) are the comfortable, contemporary entry point — generously sized, freshly styled and opening onto garden or pool outlooks.
  • The Grand Deluxe Rooms (100 of them, the heart of the resort) step things up with prime positioning and the best of the views, many looking out over the pools and ocean.
  • Suites, offering extra space, separate living areas and the most privacy — ideal for honeymooners or anyone wanting a little more room to spread out.
Every room combines air conditioning, modern bathrooms and private balconies or terraces with that unmistakable island light.
Dining is a real strength here, with a spread of restaurants and bars covering everything from a relaxed beachfront lunch to a special dinner out. Coquillages is the signature beachfront restaurant, serving fresh seafood with cocktails and live music right by the sand. Ginger Thai brings authentic Thai cooking, Kesari offers Indian cuisine with dishes fresh from the tandoor, and Pomme d'Amour is the main buffet restaurant, showcasing island Creole flavours alongside international favourites. For drinks, the Hibiscus Bar pours cocktails and light bites, while the Sunset Bar is the spot to be as the day closes — handcrafted cocktails in hand, lagoon and sky turning gold. Half-board and full-board dining plans make it easy to enjoy the full range.
At the centre of the resort is a full spa, a genuine sanctuary offering massages and treatments alongside a traditional hammam, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Out in the sun there's a beautiful infinity pool as the centrepiece, plus a dedicated adults' pool with a hot tub for quieter moments and a children's pool for the little ones. Daily yoga and a well-equipped fitness offering round out the wellness side.
Being on the calm west-coast lagoon, the resort is a natural base for time on and in the water. Complimentary non-motorised water sports and windsurfing get you straight onto the lagoon, while the reef offshore makes Flic en Flac one of the island's best-known areas for snorkelling and scuba diving. On land there are tennis courts, and golfers are well catered for with courses close by. Beyond the resort, boat trips, big-game fishing, hiking and island excursions are all easy to arrange.
Ideal for families, couples and weddings
Families are exceptionally well looked after, with a kids club, children's pool and play areas, babysitting and connecting rooms making a stress-free holiday with children genuinely easy. At the same time, the suites, the spa, the sunset cocktails and the beachfront dining make it a romantic choice for couples — and the resort is a well-established wedding and honeymoon destination, with dedicated specialists to handle every detail.
