Dive, and the Philippines you'd hate to miss

With more than 7000 individual islands, the Philippines are one of the treasures of Southeast Asia. Enlaced by the second largest area of water inside the Coral Triangle, located within the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Philippines offer a bigger variety of marine species than any other place on the planet.

Besides the tantalizing reefs with their tropical fish and colorful gardens of coral, you will get the chance to explore the mysterious wrecks of the Second World Wars fleet. No matter, where you go, the Philippines are a friendly, welcoming country with a lot to offer to the traveling diver as well as the less active visitors.

The white sanded beaches and the crystal clear sea appear inviting to everybody. Just think about having a cool drink, while watching one of the most beautiful sunsets you can ever imagine. Boracay Island as well as Mindoro provides everything to pass memorable holidays.

Day by day

The itinerary

1
Days 1–2

Manila

4* Bay View Park Hotel Bed & Breakfast

Fly overnight from UK to Manila. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel where you will stay overnight.

You can relax in your hotel and visit the city of Manila and taste the local way of life.

2
Days 3–6

Mindoro

3* Coco Beach Island Resort Bed & Breakfast

After your stay in Manila, you will get to Puerto Galera on Mindoro Island (the trip will take approximately 4 hours by car and boat). Stay at your hotel for 4 nights. Enjoy the Deluxe Room.

This coastal town is well known among tourists for its numerous pocket beaches and many snorkeling and Scuba diving spots. The area was designated a Man and Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO in 1973 and has some of the most diverse coral reef diving in Asia.
Among the famous beaches in Puerto Galera are Sabang Beach and White Beach, which have an active nightlife with numerous bars and restaurants. Puerto Galera town is a pleasant but sleepy Philippine town with few attractions. It has a large central catholic church and a Pier area, with a selection of bistros and cafes.

Behind the beaches are the huge and generally unexplored mountain ranges of central Mindoro. A particular local attraction is the nine hole golf course perched on the hillside above White Beach which commands spectacular views over Puerto Galera's natural harbor and the Verde Island Passage.
About Mindoro +

Mindoro , one of the Philippines’ larger islands, is divided from Luzon- location of capital Manila- by the Verde Island Passage. Some say this narrow body of water is the most biodiverse on the planet. You could be forgiven for blindly agreeing as you cross it accompanied by a pod of pilot whales and frolicking dolphins. First colonised by Spanish explorers who realized that the deep natural harbour gave easy passage through the extensive coral reefs, northern Mindoro is now one of the most lively dive-tourism areas in the country. These waters were first declared a marine reserve way back in the mid-1930s; in 1973, they became a UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve.

3
Days 7–15

Boracay

3* Pinjalo Resort Bed & Breakfast

Upon the wonderful time on Mindoro you will get transferred to Manila Airport to fly to Boracay Island. There you will spend 10 nights at your hotel in a Deluxe Room.

Boracay's main tourism area, White Beach, is on the western side of the island and is sheltered from the wind. During the Amihan season, the water off White Beach is often glassy-smooth. On the eastern side of the island, hills on the northern and southern ends of the island channel the Amihan season wind from the east onshore, onto Bulabog Beach in the central part of the island's eastern side. This makes the reef-protected waters off that beach ideal for windsurfing and kiteboarding / kitesurfing.

Leisure activities available on or near Boracay include scuba diving, helmet diving, snorkeling, cliff diving, and beach relaxation. In addition, Boracay offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightclubs.
About Boracay +

Boracay is one of the most beautiful of the Philippine islands, located approximately 315 km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. In 1990, it was voted by the BMW Tropical Beach Handbook as one of the best beaches in the world and again in 1996 by British publication TV Quick as the world's number one tropical beach.

Offering beach culture, laid back atmosphere, casual beach dress, active watersport scene, great bar life and chillout places, it really is ideal. Families will feel safe and have enough activities for children, singles will find a warm welcome and couples will experience romance wherever they go....

Planet offer a unique combination of luxury accommodation on Boracay together with tailor made tour add-ons taking you to a selection of locations encompassing the very best that The Philippines has to offer.
