Elegante

Elegante is a beautiful, wooden gulet that spends the winter season in Djibouti diving with whalesharks. Djibouti is far from the beaten track yet for those few divers that venture here each year, the rewards are enormous! From October until the end of January, juvenile whalesharks aggregate in the Bay of Tadjourah. It is not uncommon to see several at once, all close to the surface. Grab your snorkel and get ready for the encounters to come thick and fast!

The gullet design of Elegante adds to the sense of adventure. A true sail boat as well as motor vessel, there is a sense of stepping back in time to a more glamourous era. She sleeps only 14 divers in 7 cabins, all with en suite and air con. There are 3 cabins with double beds, 2 with bunk beds and 2 standard twin beds. The cabins are located downstairs and mid ships with one stern cabin.

Meals are served al fresco, shaded from the sun. The stern area is for relaxation, whilst the front section of the boat is a dedicated dive area. The communal area on board Elegante is warm and welcoming, with a large saloon equipped with stereo, TV, DVD player and MP3. Elegante may look like a simple sail boat, but she has all mod cons today's discerning diver would expect, including a full compliment of safety equipment.
