Amilla Fushi, in detail

Amilla Fushi

Amilla Fushi is a luxurious and contemporary island resort located in the UNESCO-protected Baa Atoll, Maldives. It is best suited for couples, honeymooners, families, and groups looking for a mix of barefoot island charm, high-end sophistication, and plenty of space to relax or play. The island has a natural, tropical feel with lush greenery, soft white beaches, and turquoise waters, paired with a modern, elegant design that offers privacy and personalised service. Highlights include some of the largest villas in the Maldives, treetop accommodations, world-class dining, a superb spa, excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities, and an emphasis on wellness and sustainability.
Accommodation at Amilla Fushi is exceptionally spacious and designed to suit both couples and larger groups. The Reef Water Pool Villas are approximately 220 square metres and are perched directly over the reef with uninterrupted ocean views. Each has a king-size bed, an open-plan living area, a large bathroom with a standalone bathtub and rain shower, a private freshwater pool, sun loungers, a dining area, and direct access to the lagoon. These villas are perfect for two adults and can accommodate one extra guest if required.
Sunset Water Pool Villas are similar in size and layout, positioned to capture breathtaking sunsets from the deck, with a pool overlooking the horizon.
Lagoon Water Pool Villas, available in one- and two-bedroom layouts from 220 to 350 square metres, are set over calm, turquoise waters, with large decks, shaded seating, and private pools, accommodating up to four guests in the two-bedroom version.
Beach Pool Villas are among the most generous, starting from 470 square metres for one-bedroom options and around 530 square metres for two-bedroom units. These have lush private gardens, shaded outdoor living spaces, and immediate access to the beach, with pools long enough for a proper swim. They are perfect for families or small groups.
Treetop Pool Villas offer a unique setting elevated above the jungle canopy, spanning around 250 square metres, with spa-inspired bedrooms, open-air living decks, a plunge pool, and peaceful forest views, suitable for three adults or families with children.
The Residences are grand private homes ranging from four to eight bedrooms, with sizes up to 2,500 square metres. They feature multiple indoor and outdoor lounges, vast pools, private chefs and butlers, rooftop terraces, and direct beach access, ideal for larger families or groups seeking complete exclusivity.
Facilities at Amilla Fushi are exceptional. The main infinity pool is one of the largest in the Maldives, surrounded by sun loungers and steps from the beach. The spa is set in a tranquil garden with private treatment pods offering massages, facials, Ayurvedic therapies, and wellness programs, while yoga and meditation sessions take place over the water or on the beach. A well-equipped fitness centre is available, and sports facilities include tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, and a football pitch. There are dedicated clubs for kids and teens, offering fun, supervised activities both on land and in the water.
Dining is a highlight, with several restaurants serving international and gourmet cuisine. Guests can enjoy Japanese fine dining, Italian specialities, fresh seafood grills, healthy café options, themed nights on the beach, and bespoke private dining under the stars or on a secluded sandbank. Bars offer fine wines, cocktails, and relaxed beachside service throughout the day.
Water activities are plentiful. Snorkelling on the house reef is excellent, with vibrant marine life just steps from the shore, and the resort is close to Hanifaru Bay, famous for seasonal manta ray gatherings. The PADI-certified dive centre organises trips to some of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, wakeboarding, and fishing trips are all available. Yacht charters and dolphin cruises add to the choice of excursions.
Evenings are calm and atmospheric, with live music, open-air cinema nights, and stargazing sessions. Guests can also enjoy cycling around the island or relaxing in one of the island’s hidden hammocks or shaded spots.
Amilla Fushi offers a rare sense of space and freedom, combining modern luxury with a strong connection to the surrounding natural beauty, making it one of the most memorable resorts in the Maldives.
