The Movenpick in Awsam is a large hotel split into two main blocks. During low occupancy periods, only one block is operational. The hotel is based on Elephant Island, accessed by a short boat ride from the Nile river bank in Aswan town. It is a great way to arrive at your hotel.
The hotel is quite large and old, and the standard of the rooms and interior is reasonable for an overnight stay. The hotel's best feature is its island location and beautiful gardens, but expectations should be set about the rest of the property.
It is very hard to find good-quality hotels in Aswan, so this is the best option without spending significantly more. The high-standard alternative would be Softiel Old Winter Palace.
