The captain and 2 crew members will always stay on board to help in case of emergency. The is always at least one instructor aboard at all times.
The Divesites:
Situated in the very south west of South Male Atoll, Fihalhohi offers a lot of diving opportunities, which are only used by the dive centre at Fihalhohi.
Entry to the under water world for many guests is the fabulous house reef.
Boat excursions are offered on a daily basis, mostly in South Male Atoll. Typical for the Maldives are so called "drift dives".
On most days, boat excursions are offered in the morning and the afternoon. The dhoni will bring you within 10 - 40 minutes to the selected dive spots. The spots change daily and are chosen according to the weather, currents, and special wishes of the guests.
Whenever there is place on board, non diving guests are welcome to join the trips.
For courses, a minimum number of students is required. In most cases, it is 2 students. Courses can be held in German, English, and French.
Dive Spots:
In addition to the North and South House Reef, there are over 50 dive sites available by boat.
Half Day Trips:
Two different dive spots. The minimum break between each is 60 minutes. Return to the island by noon.
Full Day Trips:
To dive at dive spots further away from the island, full day trips are available. Some favorites include: Embudu Express, Shark Point and Digu Kuda Giri Wreck. If the weather is fine, excursions to North Male Atoll are available to the wreck of the Victory or to Felidhoo Atoll in the south. 2-3 dives are done on a full day trip.
Early Morning Trips:
Depart before sunrise to the outside reef, begining the descent in phosphorescing plankton and enjoy the silence. Return by breakfast.
Sunset Trips:
Some of the giris on the westside of South Male Atoll are perfect for sunset dives. Start the dive at twilight and dive until after sunset.
Night Dives:
Nightdives with a boat are only held at perfect weather conditions. Dive at small spots where the boat can be anchored.
