Overview of Amba
MY Amba is the first liveaboard to operate in Haa-Alifu, the most northerly of the Maldivian atolls. The build of boat with its deep keel and weight makes it a very comfortable vessel to sail on. A total of 7 roomy lower-deck cabins (1 cabin has bunks) with portholes & 3 upper deck cabins on board, enables the boat to take 20 guests very easily.
Accommodation aboard Amba
The vessel offers ten guests cabins:
Deluxe Suite - Located on the between-deck, the Deluxe Suite windows is suitable for families and friends as it can sleep up to four guests. The Suite has its private sundeck and panoramic windows.
Standard Staterooms - There are seven Standard Staterooms with portholes on the lower deck and two others with windows on the between-deck.

The main deck provides a saloon with TV, Stereo, DVD, telephone, board games, library, battery charging station, bar, a covered deck, coffee shop and a modern Nirosta-kitchen.
On the upper deck is located a sundeck area equipped with lounge chairs, table and chairs to enjoy the sun and the shadow.
For your entertaining, water skiing is available but at extra charge.
Drink & Dine
The meals are a mixture of international and Maldivian cuisine, with plenty of fresh vegetables and tropical fruits. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided. Cakes, biscuits, soft drinks, bottles water and alcohol are available for purchase.
Vegetarians can be catered for with advance notice.

Diving Facilities
Diving facilities include 2-3 dives per day and one night dive over the week There are either 1 or 2 diving dhoni tenders accompanying the Amba on each trip. These dhonis are equipped with rinse tanks and camera tables, and also carry oxygen. All the dive gear is kept onboard the dhonis for the duration of the cruise, with the compressors being onboard too. These boats will drop you at the dive sites and return you to the liveaboard afterwards.
There is no equipment rental available aboard Amba and divers should have a minimum 30 dives with training beyond entry level. Nitrox is available at extra charge. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and Nitrox courses can be pre-booked and can a private guide. It is required to use a dive computer, delayed SMB with 5-6 feet of line and a signal light.
