    Accommodation At Medhufushi Island Resort

    The 112 spacious villas are spread over 10 hectares of Maldives paradise. Choose between a selection of four villa categories, located either on the beach or suspended over the lagoon. Each villa is designed with a Maldivian flavour with natural shades and hues. Soft tones and natural materials including wood, coconut thatch and stone come together in harmony to create your comfortable and secluded home-from-home. 
     
    The private sundecks feature a large swing chair big enough for two, known as ‘an udoli’, built in traditional Maldivian style. The beach villas are furnished with four-poster beds with romantic white drapes while the beds in the water villas are placed in prime position to admire the view of the sea.  In the beach villas, the large semi-open air bathrooms include showers shaded by a wishing-well-style roof and some have a standalone bathtub, while the water villas also have freestanding bathtubs with unbeatable ocean views. 
     
    Semi-detached Beach Villa
    The Semi-detached beach villas are set upon the powdery white sand and surrounded by lush vegetation such as hibiscus and sea cabbage for extra privacy. Highlights include four-poster king-size bed/twin beds and outdoor rain showers. These beach villas have a connecting door. (60sqm)

    Beach Villa Suite
    Families and groups of friends will find the Beach Villa Suites a good option. They consist of two Beach Villas joined by an outdoor seating area, creating a two-bedroom beachside oasis with a shared sundeck between the two villas. (196sqm)  
     
    Water Villa
    Situated over the crystal-clear water of the lagoon, the sunrise or sunset-facing Water Villas feature floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom which fold back across the entire fourth wall so you can fully embrace the ocean views. They also offer espresso machines and direct access to the lagoon via steps from your private sundeck. (68sqm)
     
    Lagoon Suites 
    Our incredible Lagoon Suites are the last word in seclusion. As the most luxurious Maldives villa category at Medhufushi Island Resort, they are freestanding villas built over the lagoon. They are located in splendid isolation accessible only by a private dhoni (wooden boat). The captain is on hand around the clock to ferry you between the suite and the island if you want to leave it, or meals and amenities can be delivered to the suite upon request. There’s also a large bathroom with open-air rain shower and a double bathtub facing the sea. (96sqm)
     
    Each villa is equipped with king-size or twin beds, air-conditioning, flat screen TV, CD/DVD player, IDD telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, minibar, hairdryer and in-room safe.

    Malaafaiy Restaurant
    Malaafaiy id the Dhivehi word for mermaid, this poolside restaurant has breath-taking views of the ocean. The Malaafaiy Restaurant cuisine is inspired by culinary traditions from around the world, classic international dishes, salads, cold cuts and cheese, sushi, curry and fresh fish. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served buffet-style while short-order chefs man cooking stations to prepare your meal to your taste. 
     
    Alfresco Restaurant
    This beautiful venue is located within Medhufushi’s iconic pyramid-shaped over-water pavilion. Breezy and shaded by coconut thatch, Alfresco offers unbeatable views of the glassy lagoon day and night and is ideal for romantic dinners at sunset. Here you can enjoy a variety of a la carte specialities, wine and other beverages. 
     
    Vilu Bar
    Under the lofty thatched roof of the over-water pyramid, Vilu Bar offers a range of premium spirits, cocktails, wine and beer as well as a snack menu. There’s also billiards, darts and a library area. Special events such as crab racing and traditional Maldivian ‘bodu beru’ drumming also takes place here.
     
    Gourmet Menus
    A range of special set dinners are available for private dining experiences, served in a choice of locations. They can be enjoyed on a quiet patch of beach, in the Sunset Pavilion or in the privacy of your villa. Special romantic dinner are also available for special occasions consisting of a lobster menu, prawn menu or the chef’s signature menu. You can feast upon the delicious menu on a private boat cruise as the sun sets over the ocean, creating the perfect romantic backdrop for your evening.

    Spa & Wellness

    The gorgeous over-water spa pavilion is the perfect place to unwind and indulge. The spa draws upon the best traditions and techniques of the East and West to bring relaxing experiences. 
     
    A team of skilled, experienced spa therapists deliver a range of treatments including massages, body wraps, facials, pedicures and beauty treatments. You may choose to have your treatment either in the cool and contemporary air-conditioned treatment rooms or in the open air under the shade of a pavilion. The Medhufushi spa uses a unique signature relaxation oil or a choice of pure essential oil blends.
     
    Popular treatments include hot stone massage and the signature Medhufushi Fusion massage. This 90-minute massage is a blend of five world massages aimed at promoting good health by stimulating the body’s energy flow. Also popular is the 120-minute Knowledge of Life treatment; which uses the ancient methods of Ayurveda to harmonise the body’s rhythm with nature by massaging intersections of your body’s life-force combined with shirodhara and concluding with an Indian head massage.
