Fushifaru Maldives Overview

Merging quintessential Maldivian design with modern aesthetics, Fushifaru Maldives is a brand new exquisite private island resort with 49 villas. On the northeastern edge of Faadhippolhu (Lhaviyani atoll) sits this exquisite little island between two channels connecting the atoll’s inner lagoon to the outer sea. A large sandbank lies on one side. Vibrant and mysterious sea creatures swim around in a small triangle connecting three of the most distinctive dive sites named after the island in the bigger, southern channel. Sums of cleaner fish cleanse and welcome various marine lives in the nationally protected reef.

Accommodation

49 beach and water villas will exude luxurious cosiness with carefully selected amenities. Various categories of villas face the Maakandu (open ocean), Etherevari (lagoon) or Kandu-Olhi (channel) reflecting designs inspired by their locations on the island. 

Beach Villa 
These Villas are located on the eastern side of the island facing the sunrise and have the view of the “Maakandu”, the vast Indian Ocean. Step into a spacious bedroom with an outdoor bathroom and outdoor decking furnished for daytime and nighttime dining.

Pool Beach Villa
These Villas come with an infinity plunge pool and direct access to the beach.

Water Villa
The Water Villas are located facing the “Kandu-Olhi”, the channel and are furnished with an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Facilities And Activities

From paddle boarding to snorkelling, diving and semi-submarine expeditions, underwater activities are endless at Fushifaru. For an insight into coral rehabilitation and marine education, a resident Marine Biologist will be on hand to share lessons on conservation and conduct guided snorkelling tours around the island and nearby reefs.

To up the ante on adventure, a fully equipped gym overlooks the Indian Ocean, a multi-sports court hosts regular matches between residents and guests or take your game to the water with jet skis, kayaks and catamarans. Off-island visits include the largest tuna canning factory in the Maldives and partaking in numerous social and sustainable activities.

Fushifaru Kan’du, a national Marine Protected Area sits right beside the resort and is home to three iconic dive sites including the renowned Fushifaru Thila that is teeming with marine life, unique cave formations and a marine cleaning station.
