Planning a family dive getaway this Easter? There are still some great destinations with last-minute availability. Avoid the high summer season and still enjoy some of the best dive conditions around the world. This is the ideal time of year for a getaway and some family bonding. The Easter break is long enough to choose long haul destinations, with enough recovery time after flights to still make the most of your holiday and pack in lots of fun activities.

Oman

At seven hours direct flight from the UK, this would best be described as a medium haul destination. And while it might not yet be on the radar for most people when it comes diving holidays, this is all the more reason to check it out. Situated on the south-eastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman has been gaining in popularity as a dive destination because of the great conditions and liveaboards available. However, it has proved to be particularly popular with families because of its safety record, modern infrastructure and affordable luxury hotels. With a wide range of diving and snorkelling sites, it is guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family.
