Witness the hair relics of Lord Buddha enshrined at the temple along with the smallest Buddha statue in the world. The entire temple is a living museum with collections from all around the world.
The Sapumal Foundation is one of the best-kept secrets in the country. Don’t be surprised to have this entire art gallery, all to yourself. This quick visit will give you an idea as to how a group of individuals in Colombo got together to change the country as they saw it through their various talents in Art, Architecture and Writing skills. Explore this amazing collection of best preserved original paintings in the country. You will not see a better collection anywhere else on the island. Spend around 30 minutes at this colonial house.
High Tea will be served at the Galle Face Hotel (between 4 – 6 pm) where you will enjoy the breathtaking views from the Verandah restaurant which sits at the edge of the Indian Ocean. For more than a century and a half, the High Tea at Galle Face Hotel has been where adventurers, authors, generals and world leaders have sat at this very location sipping Ceylon tea.
Tonight a table will be reserved for dinner at the iconic Gallery Café, a semi-fine dining outdoor café and the number one location in Colombo for dinner. This used to be the former office complex of the world renowned Sri Lankan architect – the late Geoffrey Bawa. The open-air dining area looks over an intimate courtyard and reflecting pool. The Sri Lankan– inspired dishes focus on fresh ingredients and bold, clean flavours. Desserts focus on chocolate.
Return back to the hotel and once the children are tucked into the beds, you can take a 2-minute drive to the Kingsbury Hotel, where the Sky Lounge at the rooftop offers one of the best places for cigars, premium champagne and signature molecular cocktails with accompanying music.

Adam's Peak4* Palmstone Retreat, Sri Lanka
Half Board
After breakfast at the hotel, check out of Galle Face and drive to Kitulgala. Lunch will be at Borderlands and you will enjoy some white water rafting in the afternoon.
After coming off the slopes of Adam’s Peak, the clear waters of the Kelani River wind their way through the Hill Country of inland Sri Lanka before emptying into the Indian Ocean. The put in for rafting is just upstream from Kithulgala, a small town in the tea country. After a safety briefing and a few pointers on rafting technique, jump right into the action. Seven high quality, class II and III rapids and temperate waters make the Kelani a premier introduction to the sport of whitewater or an exciting choice for experienced rafters. The river hosts rapids between grades 2 and 3, with the rafting stretch approximately 6.5 kilometres in length, and taking between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to complete, depending on water levels.
Dinner will be at the hotel.

There are even a few “waterslides” along the way! During this adventure you’ll face several thrilling challenges. This is fun, fun, fun and is consistently one of the most popular adventure activities in Kithulgala.
Lunch will be at Borderlands. In the evening enjoy another session of white water rafting or engage in some mountain biking.
Dinner will be at the hotel.
