Overview Of The Kandy House

This Kandy hotel is well-placed to spend time to relax as well as explore a broad selection of Sri Lanka's primary destinations in and around Kandy, the Cultural Triangle and Tea Country. The house can also be booked as a whole for important celebrations with friends, or just for the peace of mind of a group having total privacy away from the public eye.

Accommodations At The Kandy House

Ultra : All rooms are named after Butterflies which thrive in Sri Lanka, and are styled individually incorporating local fabrics, elegant furniture of various generations and modernized amenities.
There are four ULTRA Rooms – Red Spot Duke, Peacock Royal, Indian Admiral and Black Rajah. These are larger and have access onto a verandah with chaise longues, reading chairs, table and other antiques, ideal for more private dining and relaxing.
 
Deluxe : All our rooms are named after Butterflies which thrive in Sri Lanka, and are styled individually incorporating local fabrics, elegant furniture of various generations and modernized amenities.
There are five DELUXE Rooms – Sunbeam, Cornelian, Monkey Puzzle, Pioneer and Lime Butterfly. These rooms are a little smaller than our Ultra Rooms, and not all enjoy access to their own private verandah, Two are Twin Rooms without a bath (but with separate shower). Otherwise, all amenities and standards of furnishing are to the same high standard.

Dining At The Kandy House

Fresh fusion best describes our fare – stirring up traditional Sri Lankan delicacies and ingredients with modern international dishes and flavours. At least twice a week, they serve their highly acclaimed feast of ten traditional Sri Lankan curries.

Dinner : Might start with Skewer of Paprika & Ginger Marinated Tuna or Carrot & Cumin Soup with Slow-Roasted Tomatoes. Main Fare from Goat Curry or Chermoula-crusted Mullet with Tomato and Avocado Salsa, all rounded off with a choice of desserts.
 
Lunch : Serves a variety of Salads, Daily Specials, Vegetarian Mezze Plate, Pasta Risotto, or Thai Curry to name a few.
 
Breakfast :  Will typically offer subtle blends of fruit juices according to the season, eggs almost anyhow, pancakes, muesli, cereals and some galvanising sri lankan starts to the day….All with a selection of Sri Lanka’s renowned teas, or coffee

Wellness At The Kandy House

The Kandy House has its own masseur with 25 years' experience as an Ayurvedic therapist having trained with the Vittahachchi Ayurvedic hospital in Kandy. He also uses energy healing alongside his full body and head massages, leaving you energized, though calmer and able to attain sounder sleep.
 
If a Full Body Massage or just a Head Massage is what you need, benefits will include improving blood circulation, regaining good muscle tone and removing tension, drawing the body, mind and soul into deep relaxation and harmony.
 
Reflexology is on offer, massaging the feet and palms with herbal oils. Feet are strengthened while stiffness, hardness and tiredness are overcome..
