This wonderful island resort, named after the Kandoo tree (which is found in abundance on the island), is blessed with white sands, azure skies, lush tropical greenery and crystal turquoise waters and is just a 20 minute walk around the perimeter. Accommodation At Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma
Kandooma has 160 villas in four main categories. All the accommodation has been built around the edge of or directly on the sea. Each villa has been designed with cool clean lines with clear washed wood providing warm texture to the barefoot. Long panoramic windows mean that you are only a glance from the great turquoise outdoors.
Garden View Villa
Like all Kandooma’s accommodation, the semi-detached Garden villas have large picture windows that naturally invite the outdoors inside. Whitewashed floor boards and white walls create a feeling of fresh coolness. Luxury comes from fine summer duvets and bath towels. Flat screen televisions, dock station for your mp3/iPod, indoor out-door showers. On the Terrace is a sun chair and hammock.

As the Garden View Villa but with more direct access and views to the sea.
Beach House
The two bedroom sea-facing two storey Beach House offers luxury of space and the additional privacy the height provides. The villas present a blend of natural elements and modern design. Bedrooms are located at the upper level so you can admire the wonderful views of the sea. The open living area underneath the bedroom is furnished with designer seating on a carpet of fine white sand.
Family Beach House
As the name suggests this room type is are perfect for families or a small group of divers, and are the size of two linked Beach Houses. They offer two sleeping rooms upstairs, one double bedded and the other with twin beds, as well as living and dining below.
Overwater Villa
Only steps from the water, hovering above coral and marine life in the shallow clear waters are the water villas. Guests will love their time on their seclude sundeck, dangling their feet in the water, or at high tide, relaxing in a partially submerged hammock. The living space is complemented by a wide open bathroom which offers an outdoor shower and bathtub and views of the water. The Water Villas offer you the ultimate Kandooma Maldives experience. Overwater villas look to the outer atoll or the local island.

Diving From Holiday Inn Kandooma
Right on the eastern edge of South Male Atoll Kandooma right on Biyadhoo Kandu and to the north of the Protected Marine Area at Guraidhoo Kandu. So big name sites like Cocoa Corner and the sharks of Kandooma Thila are on the doorstep. The small wreck of Kuda Giri is a short boat journey away.
