Land Based Diving Holidays

Land based diving, aka Shorebased diving, staying in a hotel or lodge and diving from shore or a daily dive boat, can make for a very flexible form of diving holiday. Its often possible to extend the number of holiday nights and days diving, be slective about your choice of dives, build in time ashore with a non-diving partner or family or develop your diving skills by adding a dive course.
Planet's Land based diving holidays may be 'Dive Inclusive' so the prices you see include the standard diving available locally. The schedule and form this diving takes varies with destination or between dive operator. In the Caribbean the norm is for a 2 tank morning dive with an optional third afternoon dive. The Maldives tend to offer seperate morning and afternoon dives, allowing time back in the resort for lunch and a shower. A mix of shore dives and boat dives is the norm in Mabul,  Sipadan, while for the Red Sea it is a whole day 2 or sometimes 3 tank trip, with lunch served onboard.
Within these general rules there is a whole heap of choice so in the dive holidays described in this web site we provide more detailed descriptions of the local diving, services provided by our dive operators and whether its possible to add a dive course. If you are not yet a qualified diver please refer to our Learn to Dive holidays or Contact Us if you are a mixed group of qualified and unqualified divers.
