This tour has been designed to be family friendly, including lots of interesting and educational highlights. The diving in the Galapagos Islands is for experienced divers, and not suitable for children, which is why this tour is predominantly land based. However we can always include a liveaboard, or boat diving for older family members.
Day 1: UK, Quito
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.
Day 2: Baltra, Puerto Ayora, Isabela Island
Fly to Baltra, in the Galapagos Islands from where you will be transferred to the town of Puerto Ayora where you will embark on a boat to Isabela Island. The evening will be occupied by an orientation walk followed by free time.
Days 3 - 4: Isabela Island
Today includes a guided day-hike up the Sierra Negra Volcano. You can also visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre and the historic 'Wall of Tears', along with a zodiac excursion in the bay to see the marine and bird life and to go snorkeling.
Day 5: Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayora
Travel by boat to Santa Cruz Island and the town of Puerto Ayora. The afternoon will hold an excursion to Tortuga Bay, with options to observe marine iguanas, kayak or just relax on the white sandy beach.
Day 6: Puerto Ayora, San Cristóbal Island
Today you can visit the Charles Darwin Research Station in the morning to see the giant Galapagos tortoises and learn about the abundance of wildlife and natural history of the Galapagos. Spend the afternoon taking a voyage to San Cristóbal Island.
Days 7 - 8: San Cristóbal Island
An inclusive boat excursion to nearby Kicker Rock. Snorkel with the sea lions and relax on the beach followed by free time or an optional biking trip and visits to nearby beaches and the educational Interpretation Centre.
Day 9: San Cristóbal, Quito
On the last day in the Galapagos Islands you will be transferred back to the airport, where you will return to Quito.
Day 10: Quito, UK
After an overnight in Quito you will once again be taken to the airport, this time to return to the UK.
