Hemingways Resort In Watamu

If you are looking for a bit more luxury during your stay in Watamu  Hemingway is a great choice. The hotel overlooks the stunning beach of Watamu Marine Park and is juts a short stroll to the dive centre. The ambience of the hotel is of relaxed sophistication, with the friendliness of a privately owned hotel coupled to the facilities and standards of an International resort.

Standard Room

These large rooms have either double or twin beds and have the space to allow an extra bed if required. The rooms are all located in the South Wing of the hotel on the first or second floor. They have lovely views over the pools and gardens to the beach.

All our superior rooms come equipped with an ensuite shower only bathroom; air conditioning, fan, telephone, minibar, hairdryer and coffee/tea making facilities. All have an outdoor balcony as well.

Deluxe Rooms

These very spacious rooms come in a variety of layouts. In the south wing these rooms are all located on the ground floor and have a double and a single bed (made up as a daybed when not needed) as the normal configuration. In the north wing these rooms are available both the ground and first floor and come with either a huge, king size bed or with a double and single. This wing has the best views of the hotel as they front directly onto the beach. There is a large area of grass in front of the building for quiet sunbathing as well.

All these rooms have a large, modern bathroom with bath and shower; air conditioning, fan, telephone, minibar, hairdryer and coffee/tea making facilities. All have an outdoor balcony or verandah as well.

Junior Suite

Junior Suites are available on the ground or second floor. They have super king-sized beds, large baths, as well as showers and a lounge area.
