Waka Nusa Resort In Nusa Lembongan

The magical location of what would later become the Waka Nusa Resort has been discovered in 1986 by the skipper of sailing yacht visiting the the bay of Tanjung Sanghiang on Lembongan Island.

The resort has 10 bungalows built amongst a palm tree plantation edging the white sand beach of "Tanjung Sanghiang", a turquoise lagoon and coral reef with the "Segara" temple and its centuries old Kapok tree as its a setting.

The architecture is inspired by the romantic round shaped buildings familiar to the Eastern Indonesian archipelago and a lot of the South Pacific islands. Materials used are in harmony with the natural landscape and local tradition, Thatched roofs, Coral and earth pigmented wall rendering, fine wood joinery and traditional decoration.

Nusa Lembongan is situated 12 kilometers East of Bali. The resort is facing Sanur and the well known Gunung Agung volcano (3.100 meters) and because of its isolated location and limited infrastructure, the Island has been preserved from the growth and progress that has evolved in Bali over the last ten years.

The uncomplicated but uncompromised architecture of polished woods, natural floors, and teh distinctive alang - alang roof, transport you in comfort and style to another place, anothertime.

Each bungalow is set in private gardens planted with tropical flowers whose delicatescents colour the cooling breezes and the evening air.

A romantic night on an echanted island. sleeping under a blanket of hundred thousand stars, lulled by the trade winds in the palm trees and the distant breaking of the surf on the coral.

Standard Bungalows: double bungalows with queen size beds and cooled with ceiling fan only.

Deluxe Bungalows: double deluxe bungalows with queen size beds and cooled with air conditioning and ceiling fan.

Two different type of restaurant base on the overnight guests and the Day-cruiser guests just in the lunchtime. The hampers furniture set up is amazing everyone to share theirs vacation stories. Breakfast and the dinner are set up at the front edge of the resort (beach front).

The meals are mostly a combination of wonderful Balinese recipes and some more east meet west familiar dishes. Any particular request can be arranged such as vegetarian, children meals, excursions and birthday or else.

Visit the village of Lembongan, its mother temple, the sea weed farm, where you can be taken for a cup of tea or coffee in a traditional home picnic on a dream beach, all by yourself.

Sail on traditional "perahu" Trawl or simply enjoy sailing in a quiet lagoon (morning or afternoon).

Take a sunset walk: a 10 minute guided walk to the South West cliffs of the island to watch a spectacular sunset over Bali.

Glass bottom boat and snorkeling, table tennis, French Boules, badminton, volley ball available all day long push bikes are available at the office for a ride through the island.
