LEARN TO DIVE HOLIDAY
LEARN TO DIVE HOLIDAY
A learn to dive holiday is a great way to spend your holiday time, learning in perfect conditions with warm crystal clear waters. Learning to dive in the UK can be an expensive, lengthy and ‘cold’ experience involving unpredictable weather, often resulting in canceled dives. A learn to dive holiday is great for both single travelers as well as a family dive holiday. Children from 10 to 14 can complete the Junior Open Water Course, the same course except with depth restrictions
Whilst there are a handful of destinations that offer BSAC courses, almost all of our dive holiday resorts offer the PADI Open Water Course recognised the world over enabling you to progress you diver training, or just enjoy leisure dives, anywhere. If you opt for the full beginner course, taking you from a complete novice, through to qualified recreational diver, this normally takes 4-5 days. On a one week diving holiday this means you can normally fit in the beginner dive course plus 1-2 days recreational diving.
The beginner course will involve theory and ‘confined water’ in a pool, or similar, followed by 4 qualifying dives over the next 2 days. It is also possible to opt for a PADI Open Water Referral course that involves completing the pool and theory work at home so you can just do the qualifying dives on holiday
Where to do a learn to dive holiday
When learning to dive you do not need to worry to much about being in the worlds best dive location, it is more important that you are in a safe and pleasant environment. Of course a first class diving school is also a priority, Planet Dive only work with the very best diving schools in the world to ensure your safety.
If you are considering booking a learn to dive holiday we would suggest first calling us and speaking with one of our in-house dive travel specialist. We have been arranging diving holidays for 15 years to the best beginner dive locations in the world and have huge experience.
Prior to starting your lean to dive course you will asked to sign off a PADI 'fitness to dive' form. If you think you may have any condition that may be cause for concern you can download a PADI Dive Medical form to be complete by your doctor. This will then ensure that you can start the course.
