Why you'll love diving in Usa-(incl.-hawaii)!
Hawaii, located in the northern Pacific Ocean, lies off mainland USA's west coast. The Hawaiian Islands are an archipelago of eight major islands, numerous smaller islets and an assortment of atolls and undersea sea-mounts in the North Pacific. The Hawaiian Islands are in fact the exposed peaks of a great undersea mountain range formed by volcanic activity which is the basis for its varied underwater topography. Hawaii is one of the 50 states in the USA and takes its name from the largest, most southerly, island in the group. This is where we dive Hawaii, 'The Big Island'. Kona is the name of a 'moku' on the western coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, in the Hawaiian language, kona means leeward side of the island.
